I would like to introduce you to Pine Cove, a group of Christian camps in Texas. Pine Cove is making two songs available on worshipcorner. You can listen and download these songs for free using the link below.

“When creating our Pine Cove CD, our desire is to point campers back to the experience they had at Pine Cove and to cause them to remember the work God did in their life. We hope the cover songs ‘10,000 Reasons’ and ‘Our God’ cause you to dwell on the character of our holy God and sing because of an outflowing love for Him.

Psalm 103:1-2 says, “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, Oh my soul, and forget none of his benefits.” And then it goes on to list the benefits of God that are unchanging. The Psalmist is urging us to worship the Lord and dwell on his steadfast character, and this is what comes to mind when the body of Christ comes together in song. Exodus 34:14 says, “For you shall not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.” In our world today, we look at jealousy as a bad thing; harboring bitterness or resentment in rivalry or becoming fearful of losing affection or position. But in Exodus, when it says the LORD our God is a jealous God, it is describing the passion God has for a relationship with his people. This thrills me. The King of the universe is PASSIONATE about a relationship with ME. So much so he would die on a cross for the sins I have committed against him. What a powerful, beautiful, matchless love. THIS is why we worship. THIS is why the name of the Lord is worthy to be praised. THIS is the love that explodes from my heart and causes me to sing. THIS is our God.” (by Pine Cove)
